It was really good to see so many companies represented at last week’s Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) Supply Chain Event in Manchester at Event City. This was our third Supply Chain Event and judging from the attendance it was clearly an event which has been eagerly anticipated for some time.
Our business to business activity was solid throughout the day with over 30 appointments being concluded with buyer representatives. Our buyer visits to the stand were the strongest yet and we were delighted to welcome company representatives from many Tier 1 & 2 companies in the UK and Europe.
On the Oldham Engineering stand were Nigel Stafford – Business Development Director and Sam McNeice – Business Director Nuclear. Both Directors are involved in promoting the Nuclear Decommissioning and Nuclear New Build expertise and experience at Oldham Engineering.
The event gave Oldham Engineering the opportunity to showcase its large coded fabrication capacity and the ability to manufacture Bogie Systems, Gamma Gates, Encast Structures, Nuclear Containment Boxes, Skid Units, Nuclear Shield Hatches and Large Turnkey Projects.
These high integrity fabrications are machined in house using our large CNC machining capacity including CNC Floor Boring, Horizontal Boring, Milling and Turning prior to being assembled and factory acceptance tested (FAT).
Viewing the nuclear equipment manufactured by Oldham Engineering, visitors were able to see the range of key manufacturing equipment available in house at Oldham Engineering, coupled with our in-depth knowledge of nuclear products and functions. Our nuclear engineers work with clients in both Nuclear Decommissioning and New Build projects. Our team have many years experience in meeting the stringent and demanding quality assurance levels required to succeed in the industry.
Oldham Engineering is fully committed to the NDA Supply Chain Charter and proudly displays the logo to reflect our commitment to the NDA.
